Maryland MBE Certification

Astornet Technologies, Inc. is an Inforrmation Technology firm certified by the Maryland Department of Transportation as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in the core IT Standard Industry Codes (SIC) including computer programming, engineering and systems administration.

Maryland's MBE Participation goal is 25%. The Federal DBE goal for federally funded contracts is established on an annual basis. Federal goals are primarily implemented at the Maryland Transit Administration, the State Highway Administration and the Maryland Aviation Administration.

Astornet is also a registered small business under the Maryland Small Business Reserve Program.

The Small Business Reserve Program requires Maryland agencies to reserve ten (10) percent of their total procurement dollars for qualified small businesses.
